To get warnings sent to your email address you will need to have a profile and watch zone.
If you haven't set these up already, please click here.
Once you have your profile and watch zone set up follow the steps below to get warnings via email:
- On emergency.vic.gov.au click on the menu in the top right of the screen.
- Click on the watch zone you want to receive emails for from the section “Edit/Delete Watch Zone”
- Click on the “Edit” button
- Scroll down and click on the sliding switch for “Send warnings via email” in the warnings section.
- Click “Send email”, followed by “Close”
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click “Save”, followed by “Close”
- Check your emails and click on the verification link in the email that was sent from VicEmergency with the subject “Verify your email address”
- You should then see a message saying “Your VicEmergency profile has been verified…”
- Click on the menu in the top right of the screen.
- Click on the watch zone you want to receive emails for from the section “Edit/Delete Watch Zone”
- Click on the “Edit” button
- Scroll down and click on the sliding switch for “Send warnings via email” in the warnings section. It should now turn green.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
