By default, the following incident alert settings are switched on for new watch zones:
- Bushfire
- Grass fire
- Other fire
- Flood
- Damaging winds
- Storm
- Human health
- Earthquake
- Landslide
- Tsunami
- Beach closure
- Shark sighting
For all other incidents you will need to choose which ones you are alerted to. You can do this by following these steps:
- Select your watch zone
- Select "Edit" in top-right-hand corner
- Scroll down to the "Incidents" section and make sure emergencies you want to be notified for are selected (it will be green next to it if the notification for it is on)
- Select “Save"
Please also make sure that on your home page next to your watch zone you have “Alerts On” - this should be green.
Although you can't turn off notifications for warnings, you can turn off Advice and Community Information messages. You can also switch off any of the 46 incident notification types.
The "Filter" section will only turn off and on incidents that are currently displayed on the map.
